As part of the continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join the dynamic Accountancy and Finance team.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing and improving the company’s cash flow by ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external clients to maintain strong relationships while ensuring financial targets are met.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively manage and collect debts from company debtors
* Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payments
* Reconcile accounts and resolve invoice queries efficiently
* Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
* Prepare regular reports on debtor status and escalate issues as needed
* Collaborate with the wider finance team to improve credit control processes
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
* A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
