MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a high‑growth, premium consumer goods brand to recruit a Marketplace Manager – Amazon & Global Marketplaces. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in North Yorkshire, UK.

The Marketplace Manager will lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketplace strategy, taking full ownership of the brand’s global marketplace performance. With a primary focus on Amazon (UK, EU and Australia), alongside eBay and selected regional partners, this role will play a critical part in delivering the brand’s ambitious growth plans. Reporting directly into Senior Leadership, this role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, retail media performance, inventory health and brand execution across all marketplace channels.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially minded marketplace specialist who combines hands‑on Amazon expertise with strategic leadership capability and a passion for scaling international consumer brands.


Key Responsibilities:

* Own revenue, contribution margin and growth targets across all marketplace platforms. Define and execute a clear Amazon growth strategy via Seller Central, balancing scale, profitability and brand positioning.
* Drive organic performance through best‑in‑class SEO, keyword strategy and conversion optimisation. Oversee high‑quality listings, enhanced content (A+, Premium A+, Brand Store) and ongoing CRO improvements.
* Lead the end‑to‑end Amazon advertising strategy, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and DSP (where applicable). Optimise ACOS, TACOS, ROAS and contribution margin through rigorous campaign management, keyword harvesting and bid optimisation.
* Identify and execute growth opportunities across new ASIN launches, bundles, variations and international marketplaces, supporting the brand’s wider global expansion strategy.
* Own demand forecasting across marketplaces, using historical data, seasonality and promotional calendars. Manage replenishment systems, monitor sell‑through and stock cover, and proactively mitigate stock risk in collaboration with Operations and Procurement.
* Develop dynamic pricing strategies aligned with margin targets and competitive benchmarks. Monitor competitor activity across pricing, promotions, share of voice and content quality.
* Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting to Senior Leadership, analysing sales trends, traffic drivers, advertising performance and profitability. Provide insight to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
* Partner closely with Marketing on campaign planning and NPD launches, Finance on budget management and forecasting accuracy, and external partners to deliver high‑performing, localised listings across EU and Australian marketplaces.


What We Are Looking For:

* Proven experience managing Amazon marketplaces (Seller or Vendor Central), ideally within consumer goods or branded products.
* Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and improving profitability across Amazon.
* Strong understanding of Amazon SEO, algorithm mechanics and retail media optimisation.
* Hands‑on experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns with a clear focus on ROAS, TACOS and margin performance.
* Advanced Excel and strong data analysis capability, with experience using tools such as Helium 10, Amazon Brand Analytics and Business Reports.
* Solid experience in demand forecasting, inventory management and stock optimisation.
* Commercially focused, with experience managing budgets and contributing to annual forecasts.
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior level.
