Small Animal Practice. Salary up to £60,000 DOE. Located near Cardiff city centre We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our friendly team at Cardiff Bay Vets for Pets. Our practice is well equipped with 3 consulting rooms, x-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscope, Inhouse blood machine including clotting times, microscope, surgery kit including some orthopaedic kit, electrocautery and suction machine, separate dog and cat wards and a mobile CT scanner that comes every 4 weeks. Our friendly and motivated team include one new grad vet (one year qualified in August) a Practice manager/RVN with 13 years experience, Head RVN with 11 years' experience. Our RVN and SVN team range from 2-9 years experience and front of house average 3-4 years experience. We pride ourselves on offering our colleagues a happy, fun and supportive working environment as well as providing the best standard of care to pets and clients. Typically, we are a busy practice which deals with a variety of different cases and has a huge focus on patient & client experience. We deal with surgical and medical cases, from vaccines to hospitalised inpatients. Orthopaedic and big soft tissue surgeries are carried out by a peripatetic vet surgeon (RATA). We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, comfortable with sole charge, to work 40 hours per week. There will be 1 in 3 Saturdays and no OOH! We are flexible as to the hours as we can work with shifts to help childcare etc. We are conveniently located on the Cardiff Bay Retail Park surrounded by several restaurants & shops including Costa, Boots, McDonalds, ASDA, Pure gym, Popeye's, Iceland, Home Bargains, Blacks, Starbucks and Burger King. We're a stones throw away from the beautiful Cardiff Bay area where there are lots of lovely restaurants and walks by the sea. We're also a short 10-minute drive from the city centre, with a number of tourist attractions such as the Principality Stadium, Cardiff City Football Stadium, Ice Arena Cardiff (Home to Cardiff devils Ice Hockey Team) Cardiff Castle, National Museum and St Fagans Museum of Welsh History.
