About The Role Job Purpose To provide proactive guidance and support to Managers and Crew across a broad range of people-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and employment legislation. As the first point of contact for HR queries, this role is pivotal in promoting best practice, driving consistency and maintaining confidentiality while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture. Key Result Area / Principal Roles & Responsibilities People Support & Employee Relations Act as the first point of contact for crew queries and complaints, escalating complex issues where appropriate. Provide first-line employee relations advice in collaboration with the Head of People Operations. Support line managers with day-to-day people matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Monitor absence trends and support the application of robust sickness and injury management processes. Manage occupational health referrals and follow-ups to aid absence and rehabilitation cases. Systems Oversee the day-to-day ticketing system, ensuring timely allocation, follow-up, and resolution of queries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with GDPR and data protection standards. Support the implementation and daily operation of department systems and technologies, resolving system-related issues as they arise. Creating and managing people related content on our comms platforms ensuring accessibility. Job Description Management Recruitment & Onboarding Provide administrative support for Resourcing Partners, including managing system queries, issuing job offers, and updating contracts. Support on right-to-work checks and assist managers with compliance-related queries. Facilitate onboarding for new starters, ensuring system access, welcome communications, and delivery of key information during induction. Engagement & Culture Foster a positive employee experience through every day activities and responses, participating in engagement initiatives and wellbeing strategies. Coordinate and support the planning of people-related events and activities. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with People Business Partners and Payroll to ensure seamless service delivery. Participate in people-related projects aimed at improving service delivery, efficiency, and employee experience. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of People policies and procedures. Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced team members, helping to build team capability. Offboarding & Reporting Manage the leaver process, including reports, conducting exit interviews, processing documentation, and ensuring timely system updates. Maintain and update job descriptions across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current roles. Support managers and Business Partners drafting and reviewing job descriptions for new or evolving positions in line with the grading and evaluation process. About You Qualifications & Specific Training CIPD level 3 or higher / equivalent Experience Experience in managing employee relations issues and conducting investigations Understanding of HR practices Desirable - Experience of working within HR in a hospitality / retail multi-site company Knowledge Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employmenet law Skills High levels of integrity and confidentiality Ability to navigate multiple tasks and prioritise levels of importance Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective time management and ability to handle multi task in a highly reactive environment Personal Attributes Approachable A good listener Non-judgemental Additional Requirements MHFA trained or willingness to undergo training
