Flower Packing Staff Late Shift March
Unskilled temporary packing roles available for manufacturing company based in New Milton throughout March. Plenty of hours available and opportunity of longer-term employment for some.
Our client is a leading supplier of indoor plants to the major supermarkets across the UK and they get very busy for Mothers Day each year. The plants are grown from seed on site and are packed and packaged ready for delivery to the supermarkets. Its a very fast-moving work environment and a great deal of care and attention is required.
The standard duties will include the following:
· The packing and packaging of plants.
· Sticking price labels on to packaging.
· Adding bows, ribbon, and other adornments to added value products.
· Making cardboard boxes and other lightweight transport crates.
· Building of wheeled metal trollies for the movement of boxes around the site.
· Quality control and grading of plants.
The pay rate will be £12.21 per hour for the first 39 hours, anything over this is paid at an overtime rate of time and a half. We do require some flexibility with your days and hours of work to meet business demand, the core times are Monday to Friday 11:15 am till 20:00 pm, but over this period there could be early starts, late finishes and weekend work required.
The client offers a good working environment, it is safe, clean, light, and airy and they provide good canteen and rest facilities to all staff. It will be very intense and fast moving over the next couple of months and the role can be quite physically demanding as you are required to stand for the entire shift.
If you are looking for some work at the moment that offers you a fairly immediate start and plenty of hours (overtime paid at a premium), then these packing roles are a great opportunity for you.
