About the opportunity We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Quality Assurance Advisor to ensure our residential and support services meet the highest standards of care, compliance, and safety. In this role, you will lead quality systems, oversee internal audits, monitor performance data, and work closely with managers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safeguarding. In doing this you will:
1. Lead the development and maintenance of quality systems, policies, and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standards, the Code of Rights, and all relevant legislation.
3. Drive a proactive health and safety culture and ensure compliance workplace hazard management.
4. Coordinate and lead internal audits, risk management, and incident investigations.
5. Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
6. Deliver expert training to embed quality practices across the organisation.
About you You are an organised, proactive professional with experience in quality assurance, compliance, or internal auditing, ideally within the social services, or health sector. You have a deep understanding of sector standards and legislation, and you’re confident in working with staff at all levels to promote quality service delivery and compliance. Your strong communication skills, eye for detail, and commitment to culturally responsive practice allow you to balance compliance with a genuine focus on improving outcomes for the people we support.
