The Children and Young People's Directorate (CYP) holds responsibility for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people across Suffolk County. As an Assessment Coordinator within CYP's Central Child in Need Team, you will play a meaningful role in continuously enhancing service quality to create sustainable, positive impacts for vulnerable children, youth and families. Your role and responsibilities You will : communicate effectively and use your excellent organisational skills to ensure assessments and reports are within the timescale manage data proactively, flag deadlines, whilst supporting colleagues to meet targets respond to statutory requests for information within set timescales, involving trawling databases and preparing responses for the manager help to drive quality assurance by supporting the team with the case management system proactively develop systems which will support and complement the social work team You will need: good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively skilled in motivating others and can positively encourage team performance confidence in using data bases good customer service skills to be able to manage your workload effectively You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile. The team The team is responsible for undertaking social work assessments, S47 investigations and supporting families where a child is in need or there is a child protection plan. The team work directly with children and families who present a range of complex needs. They team aim to balance staff wellness with achieving the best possible outcomes for children and parents.
