Job Description Financial Controller Location:Banbridge, Northern Ireland Reporting to: CFO Direct Reports:Financeteamacrossgroupsubsidiaries Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 Role Overview The Financial Controller will play a key leadership role within the Group Finance function, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strengthening controls,andsupportingstrategicdecision-makingacrossmultipleentitieswithintheGroup. This role requires a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical expertise, capable of managing a multi-entity environment and driving continuous improvement in financial processes. Key Responsibilities FinancialReporting&Control Overseethepreparationofmonthly,quarterly,andannualfinancialstatementsfor Parent and Group entities EnsurecompliancewithIFRSandrelevantstatutoryrequirements LeadtheconsolidationofGroupaccountsandensureaccuracyofintercompany reporting Manageyear-endauditprocessandliaisewithexternalauditors Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures Management Accounting Deliver timely and accurate management accounts with insightful commentary Provide variance analysis and performance reporting versus budgets and forecasts Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes Cashflow & Treasury Monitor Group cash flow and working capital performance Oversee banking relationships, funding arrangements, and cash forecasting Implement strategies to optimise liquidity and manage financial risk Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across the Group Promoteahigh-performancecultureandcontinuousprofessionaldevelopment Ensure clear delegation, accountability, and succession planning Business Partnering Partner with senior management and operational teams to support decision-making Providefinancialinsightintostrategicinitiatives,investments,andcost-saving opportunities Support business growth, acquisitions, and integration activities where applicable Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with local regulations across UK and ROI Maintain strong internal control environment and risk management frameworks Support corporate governance processes and Board reporting Systems & Process Improvement Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and automation Ensure efficiency and scalability of finance processes across the Group Lead finance-related system implementations or upgrades Key Skills & Experience Essential Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Strongexperienceinmulti-entity/groupaccounting Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS) Proven leadership and team management experience Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingabilities Excellent Excel and financial systems skills Desirable Experience within property investment group structures Experiencewithin manufacturingand construction Exposure to M&A, group restructuring, or international operations Personal Attributes Highly organised with strong attention to detail Commerciallyawarewith strategicthinkingcapability Proactive and results-driven Strong communication skills across all levels of the business Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Remuneration & Benefits Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Pension contribution Private healthcare ADZN1_NI
