Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians to enable effective and efficient operation.
* Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
* Coordinate and support administrative activities across Clinical Haematology at University Hospital Hairmyres.
Qualifications andExperience
* SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Evidence of effective teamwork and ability to manage change
* Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues
* Excellent organisational skills
* Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
* Audio typing skills
* Note: For roles requiring a driving licence, full UK/EU/EEA licence is required
Desirable Additional Skills
* Secretarial background
* Experience as a Clinical Secretary
* Proficiency with Hospital Systems – including TRAKCARE
* Proficiency in WINSCRIBE
* Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
* Ability to travel across NHS Lanarkshire
