The Role
As an AI Platform Engineer, you will build and operate the shared platforms and tooling that enable teams to develop, deploy, and run AI solutions consistently and efficiently. This role focuses on scalability, reliability, developer experience, and cost optimisation.
Your Responsibilities
* Build and maintain AI development and deployment platforms.
* Provide shared services, infrastructure and best practice for training, inference, and experimentation from development to production environments.
* Provide scalable and re-usable CI/CD pipelines for AI code, models, and prompts and other related artefacts.
* Manage cloud infrastructure for AI workloads (compute, GPUs, storage).
* Provide frameworks for monitoring experiment tracking, artefact storage, and model registries etc.
* Optimise platform performance, reliability, and cost.
* Provide templates, SDKs, and documentation for AI teams.
* Work closely with AI Engineers and AI Ops Engineers on monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management.
* Design, develop, and maintain AI platforms – The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing AI platforms that support various AI and machine learning projects.
* Collaborate with data scientists and engineers – They will work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI models into production environments.
* Optimize AI models for performance and scalability – The candidate will need to ensure that AI models are efficient, scalable, and capable of handling large datasets.
* Implement best practices for AI development and deployment – They will be expected to follow industry standards and best practices for developing and deploying AI models.
* Monitor and maintain AI systems – The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance of AI systems and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
* Stay current with AI trends and technologies – They should stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to ensure that our platforms are leveraging the best available technologies.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
* Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
* Experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
* Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong understanding of network control and security.
* Domain knowledge in aeroengine and manufacturing.
