HSE Advisor – Job Summary
The HSE Advisor will support and promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture by ensuring compliance with legal requirements, management systems, and agreed processes. The role requires a proactive, data-driven approach to risk management, effective stakeholder collaboration, and the application of advanced HSE knowledge across project and site activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a proactive HSE culture through leadership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure HSE compliance using established systems, procedures, and legal registers.
* Review and monitor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Coordinate safety inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
* Monitor HSE performance and report incidents and trends using reporting tools (e.g. Synergi).
* Lead and participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, safety walks, and audits.
* Liaise effectively with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to improve site safety performance.
Key Deliverables
* HSE inductions, meetings, and safety presentations
* RAMS reviews and operational HSE assessments
* HSE walk and inspection reports
* Incident and proactive measure reporting
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ HSE experience, ideally within onshore renewables or construction.
* NEBOSH (Level 3 minimum) or equivalent HSE qualification.
* Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working with contractors and conducting audits and investigations.
* IT literate (MS Office; Synergi knowledge advantageous).
* Valid site safety passport (CSCS/CCNSG) and clean UK driving licence.
