The Role
As a Systems Engineer – Requirements and Acceptance Engineer, you’ll be a key player in a high-tempo solution development team, helping to design and document winning proposals for national defence tenders. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in requirements engineering to shape complex, integrated solutions that make a real-world impact.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
* Leading the requirements management plan on behalf of the solution lead
* Managing engineering change processes and ensuring configuration control
* Supporting the creation and review of requirements documentation across the lifecycle
* Building acceptance and test cases linked to verification and validation matrices
* Collaborating with technical experts to ensure traceability and compliance
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working patterns available. While you can be based anywhere in the UK, you’ll need to be flexible to travel for meetings and collaboration across the country.
Essential experience
* Experience across the full engineering lifecycle (V-Model)
* Expertise in requirement extraction, assessment, and decomposition
* Familiarity with requirements database systems and acceptance documentation
* Ability to communicate across technical disciplines including systems, software, and hardware
* Experience working within a System of Systems architecture environment
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering qualifications (degree level or equivalent experience)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
