As part of its continued evolution and focus on strengthening Group reporting capabilities, the business is seeking to appoint a Group Financial Analyst. Reporting into senior leadership within Group Finance, this role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to key strategic and financial initiatives at a global level.
This position is ideally suited to a high-calibre, practice-trained accountant looking to transition into industry, or an individual seeking to build on existing Group experience within a complex, international organisation.
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting the preparation of monthly Group management accounts for the Executive Committee.
* Reviewing and analysing business unit performance, including investigating variances and assessing forecasts.
* Assisting with the preparation of half-year and year-end consolidated financial statements.
* Contributing to the development of external reporting outputs, including the annual report and investor materials.
* Delivering financial analysis to support senior stakeholders with performance insights and decision-making.
* Supporting technical accounting areas, including cash flow, pensions, reserves and share-based payments.
* Overseeing and supporting the statutory reporting requirements for holding entities.
* Identifying and implementing improvements to Group reporting processes and systems.
* Supporting the Group budgeting and strategic planning processes.
* Reviewing capital expenditure proposals and evaluating business unit plans.
* Liaising with external auditors and supporting the year-end and interim audit processes.
The candidate:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualified experience.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS.
* Background in audit from a leading international accounting firm, with exposure to large Groups and listed clients.
* Experience within a complex, international organisation is advantageous.
* Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
* Proactive, detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Commercially aware, with a genuine interest in understanding business performance drivers.
