Service Transition Manager / 6-month initial contract / Day rate negotiable / Hybrid – Remote occasional travel to Reading or Dublin

We have an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Service Transition Manager to join us on an initial 6-month contract, with hybrid working which will see you working remotely with occasional travel to Reading or Dublin.
As Service Transition Manager, you will ensure that new and changing Primark Technology solutions successfully translate into fully supported services. You will achieve this by validating the standards and requirements for operational support have been met. You will enable consistent collaboration between our delivery teams and our operational support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with the Project Manager to understand the scope of their solution.
* Plan and coordinate the transition activities in alignment with the project delivery lifecycle.
* Assist in the definition and review of support related Statements of Work (SoW).
* Define the detail to align the Technology solution to the standard service model, identify and document any exceptions as part of the Service Design.
* Identify operational impacting risks throughout the lifecycle of the project.
* Provide regular Service Transition status reporting.
* Identify the project documentation to be handed over to operational support teams.
* Coordinate the knowledge transfer to operational teams.
* Coordinate the activities to implement the service wrapper / model.
* Define and agree the Service Transition criteria for each stage of the process.
* Provide input into the scope and delivery of Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), both technical elements and the support model. Revision of the Service Design as required as an output of OAT.
* Provide input into project Go / No Go decisions with current service readiness status.
* Agree the Hypercare approach and governance.
* Monitor and collate the data to assess service and solution stability against the Hypercare exit criteria.
* Collate evidence of final signoff and provide Hypercare exit report.
* Support project led lessons learned to capture improvements to the Service Transition process.
* 5+ years experience working in a Service Transition role. Service Design experience would be advantageous.
* Use of Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.
* Passionate and committed to delivering value and a first-class service to users and customers.
* An ‘Agile’ mindset to transition new and changing Technology solutions through iterative as well as traditional ‘waterfall’ project delivery methods.
* Strong problem-solving abilities in a complex multi-tier technical environment.
* Managing multiple workloads in a fast paced and demanding environment.
* Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to foster strong effective teamwork and collaboration.
