About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and autonomous motorsports development.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility in work schedule is required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly, ensuring safety and performance standards.
Dynamic Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, pit stops, fueling, and setup adjustments.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee vehicle transport across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized workshop for vehicle prep and maintenance.
Safety Stewardship: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Mastery: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension, tires, and performance tuning.
Electronics Competency: Understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, experience with MoTeC systems.
Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in professional racing environments, demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
Technical Qualification: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Adaptable Mindset: Interest in autonomous driving tech and eagerness to innovate in sportscar and racing contexts.
Collaborative Spirit: Strong team player with good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
