Salary of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer: £20.00 - £22.00ph DOE (up to £57,200.00pa) plus overtime

My client, a Commercial Vehicle Repairer, is looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer to join their busy and thriving site on the split shifts in Milton Keynes.Join this bustling team at their Milton Keynes branch.
This particular branch provides an exceptional service of Trailer and Truck Service, Digital Tachograph Legal Inspection and 24 hour assistance. Your role would be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.
Main Duties and Responsibilities for the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standardDiagnose and rectify all types of faultsAttend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customers premisesEnsure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premisesLiaise with the parts department to attain relevant partsEnsure health and safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered toEnsure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards andservice sheets are completed in a timely mannerMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidinessMaintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
Requirements for the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:Technical qualification (City and Guilds level 3 or NVQ qualified technician)Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and seek solutions to problemsExcellent communication skillsFlexibility to undertake a wide range of tasksAwareness and understanding of health and safety requirementsComputer literateCurrent Drivers licenceHGV Licence and Fork Lift Licence (desired but not essential)Ability to work as part of a team
