Management of Violence and Aggression (MAV) Advisor
Are you passionate about making a real difference in patient care and staff safety? We're looking for a dedicated MAV Advisor to help shape and deliver essential training across our services.
In this role you will work closely with senior instructors and the PTU Manager to plan, implement, and develop innovative approaches to managing aggression and violence. Your expertise will empower teams to use least restrictive practices and provide compassionate care in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
* Lead inspiring training sessions that empower staff with confidence and practical skills.
* Run dynamic, interactive courses that adapt to learners' needs and encourage active participation.
* Champion positive approaches by exploring root causes of distress and promoting alternative solutions.
* Build strong rapport with learners to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
* Promote equality and inclusion, ensuring anti‑discriminatory practice is at the core of every session.
* Maintain safety standards – monitor and uphold healthy, secure working environments during training.
* Provide expert guidance and practical advice throughout sessions to reinforce best practice.
* Commit to promoting safety and dignity for patients and staff.
* Have a strong understanding of symptoms of distress and de‑escalation techniques.
* Passion for delivering high‑quality training and fostering a culture of care.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong understanding of symptoms of distress and de‑escalation techniques.
* Experience delivering high‑quality training programmes.
