PSR Healthcare are proud to be working in partnership with a progressive, values-led care provider in search of an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to launch and lead a brand-new 4-bedroom Children’s Residential Home - LD & Autism in Exeter.
This is a superb opportunity to shape a Learning Disabilities and Autism Children's Residential service from the ground up and create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team of Deputies, Team Leaders, and Support Workers in delivering exceptional care
* Set the tone for a positive, child-centred culture rooted in empathy, accountability, and community
* Create and implement personalised care plans tailored to each child’s needs and aspirations
* Ensure regulatory excellence in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and OFSTED standards
* Build trusted relationships with families, local authorities, and partner agencies
* Champion best practice, continuous improvement, and holistic support for every child
Requirements:
* 2+ years’ experience managing a Children’s Residential Home (or a Deputy Manager ready to step up)
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to complete)
* Strong working knowledge of OFSTED standards and children’s care legislation
* A confident, compassionate leader with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
* A true passion for supporting children and developing high-performing teams
