We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Teacher of Maths to join Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy from January 2026 and be part of a team that is changing lives and transforming the local community. The academy is a high-achieving state comprehensive school and part of Leigh Academies Trust.

Responsibilities
* Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise able to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across KS3–KS5, ensuring challenge and progression for all learners.
* Effective pedagogy and classroom management using a range of teaching strategies, assessment for learning, and behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive, disruption-free environment.
* Commitment to student progress and inclusion, able to identify gaps, support diverse needs (SEND, EAL, disadvantaged students), and foster resilience, independence, and confidence in mathematics.
Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a salary of MPS/UPS + London Fringe allowance + a TLR for the right candidate, commensurate with experience.
