Key Account Manager (Food)

Vickerstock are partnering with a well-established food business supplying premium products to a loyal and growing customer base. We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join their Sales Team based in Newry.
This is an excellent opportunity to shape strategic partnerships and play a key role in driving commercial growth.
What's on offer:
1. £40,000 - £45,000 salary (depending on experience)
2. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
3. Fully onsite position
Your day to day
Reporting to the MD the Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing key customer relationships, driving revenue growth, retention and long-term partnerships. You will act as the primary commercial contact for strategic accounts while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Relationship Development
4. Act as the main point of contact for assigned customers
5. Build strong, trusted partnerships
6. Conduct regular account reviews and performance updates
7. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and objectives
Commercial Growth
8. Identify and deliver growth opportunities within existing accounts
9. Monitor account performance and profitability
10. Forecast sales and contribute to commercial planning
Service Delivery
11. Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products and services
12. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
13. Escalate risks where necessary
14. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Reporting & Analysis
15. Track KPIs and account performance
16. Prepare reports and analyse commercial trends
17. Provide insight to support strategic decision-making
Your essential ingredients
18. Proven experience in account management, sales, or a client-facing role within the food sector
19. Strong relationship-building and communication skills
20. Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset
21. Strategic planning and negotiation ability
22. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
24. Ability to commute to Newry
Desirable:
25. Experience managing high-value or strategic accounts
26. Industry-specific knowledge (food manufacturing/FMCG, ideally meat)
