Learning Support Assistant for a September start
Position Details
Location: Portsmouth
Pay: £14.25 per hour – Term Time Only
Hours: Full Time
Start Date: September
Responsibilities
* Work on a one-to-one and small group basis with pupils who have SEN needs, to include Autism, sensory needs, and communication needs.
* Support pupils with managing emotions, behaviour, and developing positive relationships.
* Assist with adapting learning to meet individual needs, and supporting the implementation of development strategies.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications and experience
* Previous experience working with children or young adults with additional needs.
* Ability to drive is highly desirable.
* Must have a clear Child Workforce DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
* Availability between 8:30–15:30.
* Passion, patience, confidence and high resilience working with young people with SEN.
