We need support for our team of tutors and lecturers in the workshops by ensuring that resources are available for delivery sessions, that our workshops are kept clean and tidy and that professional relationships are built with our suppliers.
Salary Details: BS14-18 - equivalent to £24,358 - £25,435 per annum
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Consideration will also be given to any candidate who can only offer part time hours.
Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days Annual Leave plus 8 Bank Holidays & College closure days per annum
Qualifications:
1. You will hold a minimum level 2 plumbing qualification and;
2. You will have experience of working in a practical environment, ideally recent industrial experience in the plumbing sector
3. You are required to hold a First Aid certificate. If not currently held, the College will support you to undertake and achieve this within an agreed timescale.
Technicians at the College are a vital part of the learners’ experience, based within workshops ensuring that materials and equipment/facilities are maintained and available to learners when required. This involves regular stock-taking and working as part of a wider team.
In addition, technicians are a key part of the College’s front-line health and safety culture, reviewing and updating risk assessments and supporting with the adherence to PPE and all health and safety requirements.
