As a CBRE Multi-skilled Technician, you will perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on a mechanical, electrical, and other building system.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Responsibilities and daily activities:
· Conduct reactive repairs to building fabric elements
· General plumbing repairs and sanitaryware replacements (e.g. taps, toilet parts etc.)
· General building, groundworks, and landscaping repairs such as repointing, levelling paving slabs, fence repairs
· Minor joinery works e.g. minor repairs to doors/windows
· Assist with office and desk relocations
· Decoration works (infrequent)
· Supporting other members of the eningeering team with their duties
· Assist with installation and modification of equipment/systems
· Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
· Work with available systems to manage and track completion.
· Working with suppliers to complete reactive repairs, obtain quotations, escort around site
· Ensure all activities are in line with client PTW process
· Liasing with client when investigating faults/issues
· Undertake all works in-line with CBRE HSE policy and procedures and attend/complete training as required
· Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance
· Member of the site on-call team (rota is 1 week in 7 and includes cover over bank holidays)
Qualifications and Experience
Trade qualification with minimum 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a qualification, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Ability to use mobile phone device to manage work orders e.g. checking jobs coming in and closing once complete.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
