This job posting is for a Service Technician Unitary position at Trane UK Ltd in the North East Region.
Position Overview
The Service Technician – Unitary is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support across the UK. This role plays a crucial part in delivering high standards of service to maintain customer plant and equipment as installed on site covered by maintenance and service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
* Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
* Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Customer Breakdowns, Warranty work, Hire and Commissioning workloads.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
* Collaborate with the Service desk, Sales, and Operations Team to establish strong communication channels and share key customer insights.
* Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units.
* Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
* Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional customer service.
Skills and Capabilities
The ideal candidate will have:
* Category 1 (I) F-Gas C&G 2079 Level 2 certification and hold COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1.
* Light Commercial knowledge mainly within the Retail sector with first-fix experience and handling of multiple callouts or jobs.
* Knowledge of the manufacturing industry at an intermediate to advanced level with proven experience working on Packaged Rooftops.
* People and communication skills with a positive mindset.
* Able to work with minimal supervision and cover standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and have a UK Drivers license.
