Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care home facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential and nursing. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located in a great area, we enjoy a very good local reputation. New Care has had zero agency usage for over 4 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home. We have full-time contracts available with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs, in line with care plans.
5. Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Support effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or contacts.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
3. Good care practice knowledge related to caring for older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/Nursing settings.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivation and confidence.
