About the Role
The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance team across a wide range of administrative and accounting tasks. The role is essential to the smooth running of the department and the wider organisation.
You will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and supporting the loan post‑completion team with the production of redemption statements and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions: Process invoices, payments, and financial documents accurately and efficiently.
Accounts Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconciliation: Complete monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Reporting: Assist with preparing financial reports, including account analysis and reconciliations.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Data Entry: Enter financial data accurately into the company’s accounting systems.
Communication: Liaise with colleagues, management, suppliers, and customers on financial matters.
Statement Production: Work with the asset management team to produce accurate redemption statements and support the loan post‑completion process.
Person Specification
Qualifications
A‑levels or equivalent in Accounting, Maths, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
Previous experience in an accounts or finance role (ideally within a similar industry).
Skills & Attributes
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
A proactive, positive attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
