A popular Wimbledon primary is seeking a skilful Reception Teacher to lead Early Years learning from January 2026. The appointed Reception Teacher will design language-rich continuous provision, lead systematic phonics and nurture social and emotional development. The Reception Teacher will be expected to plan prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and be teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. • Reception Teacher - Full-Time role with a January 2026 start. • Reception Teacher to join a warm Wimbledon primary - planning and induction begin January 2026. • Reception Teacher will be supported by an experienced Early Years team and CPD from January 2026. Reception Teacher Responsibilities The Reception Teacher will: plan and deliver daily systematic phonics and story sessions as the Reception Teacher; establish high-quality indoor and outdoor provision as the Reception Teacher; assess children against the Early Learning Goals and share progress with families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare transition activities for Year 1 before January 2026 and follow through after January 2026. Reception Teacher Requirements We seek a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), strong EYFS subject knowledge and confident phonics practice. The Reception Teacher must be organised, reflective and skilful at building parental partnerships. Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 is necessary.
