Job Description:
The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Infralogic Team. As a reporter, you will provide exclusive content on Limited Partners, General Partners, fundraising, allocations, and commitments concerning the EMEA/North American renewables, power, and infrastructure sectors. You will take a leading role primarily feeding content into ION Analytics' Infralogic publication, as well as supporting other products within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, and advisors.
2. Shape global coverage of Limited Partners and General Partners, including their allocations, commitments, targets, and personnel moves.
3. Generate ideas for longer-form coverage, and collaborate with Infralogic data and research teams to ensure accurate, exclusive, and market-scooping news and analyses.
4. Write an average of four exclusive stories per week, and one long-form piece every month. The long-form pieces include Limited Partner and General Partner Profiles, the Infralogic Fund Market Tracker, and the Fundraising Report.
5. Assist with ION Analytics’ events, contributing content, moderating panels, and speaking engagements.
6. Work with the EMEA editor, senior editors, and colleagues across the group to support content creation targeted at ION Analytics’ key customer segments.
7. Maintain high standards of copy and adhere to group-wide compliance policies.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of the financial market, with a proven record of reporting exclusives.
2. At least three years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom, with global exposure.
3. Proven record of breaking news for a media organization, as well as writing in-depth analyses.
4. Ability to spot trends in market data and conduct research to identify and produce reports.
5. Track record of building a network of sources to produce reports.
6. Strong news and analysis writing skills.
