Junior Finance AccountantPermanentThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join a growing ?nance team and gain hands-on experience across the full ?nance function.The role is ideal for someone who is AAT quali?ed, part-quali?ed, or a ?nance graduate and looking to complete ACCA or CIMA. You will be involved in day-to-day ?nance operations while developing strong technical foundations and commercial understanding, with guidance and mentoring from the Head of Finance.Although the Head of Finance works remotely, the role is fully office based (Newcastle-under-Lyme,) working closely with colleagues on site and gaining exposure to real-time business operations.What You Will Be DoingDay-to-Day Finance OperationsSupporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processesMaintaining accurate supplier and customer records and resolving routine queriesAssisting with payment runs and day-to-day cash processingSupporting bank reconciliations and cash allocationMonth-End and Reporting ExposureAssisting with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepaymentsSupporting preparation of management accounts and reporting schedulesMaintaining balance sheet reconciliations with support from the Head of FinanceHelping ensure ?nancial records are accurate and audit-readyCost Control, Budgets and ForecastingSupporting cost accounting activities and variance analysisAssisting with budget and forecast preparation and updatesProviding ?nancial data and analysis to support operational decision-makingSystems and Process LearningWorking with Sage accounting software for daily processing and reportingSupporting ongoing improvements to ?nance processes and controlsDeveloping a strong understanding of end-to-end ?nance operationsWhat We Are Looking ForEssentialAAT quali?ed, part-quali?ed (ACCA or CIMA), or ?nance-related degreeActively studying or planning to complete ACCA or CIMAStrong attention to detail and a willingness to learnGood organisational skills and a positive, proactive attitudeDesirableExperience using Sage accounting software12 years experience in a junior ?nance or accounting roleTech savvy and comfortable working with Excel, with a willingness to learn new tools and improve processesDevelopment and ProgressionThis role offers broad exposure across core ?nance activities and is designed to support long-term development within ?nance.
