An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic Lead to drive transformation across housing services within a major London borough. This role will shape the delivery of homelessness prevention, private sector housing, and partnership initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes for residents.
Role Overview – Strategic Lead:
Lead the delivery of a Homelessness, Temporary Accommodation, and Private Sector Housing transformation programme.
Oversee service redesign to create a customer-focused approach that prevents homelessness and reduces temporary accommodation usage.
Develop and implement strategic partnerships, including a Homelessness Partnership Board.
Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects, including supported housing re-procurement and housing association nominations.
Ensure compliance with governance, financial, and legal frameworks while embedding equality and transparency.Key Focus Areas:
Transformation of housing services within budget constraints.
Integration of Private Sector Housing into the Housing Directorate.
Delivery of strategic projects to improve housing outcomes and data quality.Candidate Profile:
Extensive senior management experience within housing or local authority services.
Proven track record in delivering complex transformation programmes.
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage budgets and drive service improvement in a politically sensitive environment.Qualifications:
Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
Professional or management qualification desirable.
