We’re on the lookout for an experienced, commercially savvy Operations Manager to take the reins at one of our biggest and most high-profile student accommodation sites. This role is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to really make an impact on our student's experience with iQ! This is more than just an operational role it’s about creating a vibrant, safe, and welcoming home for hundreds of students, while driving performance and building strong partnerships across the board. When things get busy or complicated, you’ll stay calm, focused, and professional making smart calls and keeping everyone on track. What you will be doing You’ll be the go-to person for everything on site from budgets and occupancy targets to team leadership and student experience. You’ll know your numbers, spot opportunities, and make good decisions that keep things running smoothly, achieving a 'full house'. You'll need to build brilliant relationships, whether it’s working with universities, local agencies, or contractors, you’ll be confident representing iQ and building partnerships that add real value. You’ll be out there, making connections and being an ambassador for iQ. You’ll make sure everything’s safe, compliant, and up to scratch from maintenance and facilities to health & safety. You’ll manage third-party contractors and internal teams to deliver top-notch service every day. You’ll inspire and support your team to be their best. You’ll create a culture of accountability, growth, and positivity, where people want to come to work and be proud of what they do. You will be passionate about delivering an amazing student experience, using feedback, insights and the sites balanced scorecard metrics to ensure that our students have their best year yet. What you will bring Solid experience in a senior operational role A strong track record of managing large teams and complex buildings Great financial skills, you’re confident with budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting. Experience driving commercial strategy and growing occupancy. A good understanding of compliance, health & safety, and building operations. What makes a great iQer?
