We are looking for
a highly motivated, knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to support our Estates & Facilities teams.
You will provide expert advice, lead risk reduction initiatives, support construction and contractor safety, and promote a proactive safety culture across the division.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with Estates, Facilities and Capital Project Managers to ensure safe systems of work, effective risk management, and continual improvement.
You’ll make a direct impact by helping keep our colleagues, patients and visitors safe every day.
Your role will include:
1. Provide specialist H&S advice in line with legislation, regulations and Trust policies.
2. Lead on risk assessments, inspections and the implementation of control measures.
3. Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
4. Support construction projects, ensuring contractor compliance and safe working practices.
5. Deliver engaging H&S training, guidance and awareness sessions.
6. Coordinate quarterly KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
7. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice
8. Support the Trust’s PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) health and safety management framework.
