UAT Defect Manager (12-month contract)

Are you an experienced UAT professional with the drive to take control of complex defect management processes? We are looking for a Contract UAT Defect Manager who can bring structure, discipline, and accountability to a large-scale SAP implementation programme. In this role, you’ll coordinate across multiple geographies, manage integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems, and ensure critical defects are driven through to resolution. Accountabilities
As the UAT Defect Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all UAT-related defect activities across a complex global landscape. You will coordinate with stakeholders in the UK/Ireland and Mexico, ensuring effective communication across time zones and languages. Your role will focus on driving accountability for defect resolution, escalating issues when required, and maintaining the integrity of the UAT process. Acting as the central point of control, you will ensure that defects are logged, tracked, prioritised, and resolved in line with project timelines.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Strong track record managing UAT-related defects within large-scale SAP programmes
* Deep understanding of SAP and related integrations, including non-SAP systems (e.g., Pess X, LIMZ, BlackLine, Coupa, Concur, Workday)
* Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple geographies, particularly UK/Ireland time zones and Mexico (Spanish-speaking regions)
* Proactive, assertive personality with the ability to challenge stakeholders, chase resolutions, and keep momentum moving forward
* Resilient and thick-skinned, with the confidence to work under pressure and not take “no” for an answer
* Experience in driving defect management processes within high-volume, high-pressure implementation environments
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Exposure to multi-system integration landscapes within finance and HR systems
* Familiarity with global project structures and cross-cultural stakeholder management
* SAP programme or testing certifications
