This is a rare opportunity for someone with practical experience of managing green spaces for biodiversity and people to join our team of land management specialists. We currently directly manage over 1300 hectares of publicly accessible green space and more than 50 kilometres of linear multi-user routes on behalf of the County Council, including Sites of Special Scientific Interest, Local Nature Reserves and Local Wildlife Sites. We are now looking for someone who is ready to take on the challenge of overseeing the management of approximately 30 sites with high levels of public access.
You will be responsible for undertaking site safety inspections; managing a range of priority habitats; working with contractors and volunteers; and developing and delivering enhancement projects. There will be opportunities for training (e.g. chainsaws, tree inspections)
