A highly successful, growing business based in Kingston, Surrey, is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join their tech team.
Please note – this role offers hybrid working – you are required to work 2 days per week from the office.
As the Azure Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with the in-house Cloud and IT teams on various projects and BAU initiatives. Your responsibilities include deploying, optimizing, securing, testing, and transitioning new services into production, as well as auditing and recommending improvements for existing systems. You will also share your expertise to support the adoption of Azure Cloud best practices.
Key responsibilities:
1. Audit the Azure setup with estate managers, assessing best practices, service availability, security, and scalability.
2. Develop and implement an action plan to enhance the Azure Cloud environment.
3. Support the evolution towards more DevOps-oriented practices, including infrastructure provisioning, domain management, security, backups, and upgrades.
4. Mentor and upskill the existing team.
5. Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of Azure experience in a production environment, including experience transforming traditional on-premise VM-based services into Azure, utilizing native PaaS features such as databases, app services, and autoscaling.
You should have strong working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing.
The salary for this role is £100,000 plus benefits.
