Primary Teacher Relationship and Health Education Content Creator
Life Lessons is an award-winning, impact driven educational organisation which supports over 200 schools nationally to deliver a high quality, evidence based whole school approach to Relationship and Sex Education.
We are working as part of a high level, national project with Oak National Academy. The purpose of this project is to produce high-quality, free and fully optional Primary and Secondary curriculum resources with the intention of improving pupil outcomes and closing the disadvantage gap through the delivery of a consistent and high-quality curriculum.
In order to complete this work to the highest quality, we are seeking enthusiastic and organised teachers who can contribute to the development of engaging and creative lesson plans and resources.
The role
You will be joining a highly qualified and experienced team to develop a broad and fulfilling Primary RSHE curriculum that meets the statutory requirements of the national curriculum, addresses ongoing research and showcases best practice in the subject.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* the development of individual lesson plans,
* the production of associated resources (slides, quizzes, worksheets etc)
* Videos to demonstrate the delivery of lessons
* Responding to feedback and making amendments
* Ensure and challenge diversity and inclusivity across all resources
We will consider part-time and full-time application. The minimum time commitment is 0.6 (3 days a week).
This is a fixed term contract from September 2024 to August 2025 with a full time equivalent salary of £33,000 pa.
This role is almost entirely remote, with occasional travel to collaborate with the full production team.
Regular training and supervision will be provided both online and in person through Oak National Academy and Life Lessons.
About you
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to demonstrate their passion and expertise for the RSE curriculum. If you work in a school currently this could provide you with a flexible opportunity to have a full academic year away from the classroom. It is essential that you:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status
* Have a proven track record as a primary PSHE/ RSE teacher
* Have up to date and in depth knowledge of the RSE curriculum and associated topics
* An excellent communicator who is able to build good working relationships with a range of people
* Can produce resources to a delivery schedule – meeting deadlines and other requirements
* Have availability for three or four full days a week (Monday to Friday), for resource creation.
* Are self driven and motivated to work remotely.
* Have a right to live and work in the UK.
As well as generalist RSHE/PSHE applicants would like to additionally hear from teachers with particular expertise or specialisms in any of the following areas:
* Drugs, alcohol or nicotine education
* Managing wellbeing of physical health
* First Aid
