Are you passionate about driving real change on the shop floor? My client, a well-established manufacturing business based in the Black Country, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
The Role: You’ll play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, leading improvement projects, and supporting a culture of lean thinking and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse manufacturing processes to identify waste and inefficiencies
* Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
* Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements
* Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Support training and coaching of staff in CI tools and practices
* Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions where needed
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a Continuous Improvement or Process Engineering role within manufacturing
* Strong working knowledge of Lean principles; Six Sigma Green Belt (or above) is desirable
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
* Ability to work independently and influence teams at all levels
* Comfortable working on the shop floor as well as in meetings and reports
