Senior Project Engineer – Rolling Stock

The Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to take customer requirements and turn them into compliant, deliverable engineering designs. This includes design for drawing and installation, and in some cases full turnkey solutions.
You'll work closely with Project Managers and Design Leads to define scope and delivery, coordinating in-house disciplines to ensure projects are delivered safely, collaboratively, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Converting customer requirements into clear engineering deliverables
* Defining activities, deliverables, and compliance criteria
* Coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs including structural, electrical, human factors, gauging, and vehicle integration
* Leading structural aspects of fitting equipment to rail vehicles
* Supporting multiple rolling stock projects across passenger and freight fleets
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in rolling stock engineering
* Ability to take work from requirements through to design delivery
* Good knowledge of rail standards and regulatory requirements
* Experience with structural integration on rail vehicles
* Comfortable working in a non-blame, collaborative environment
* Honest, proactive communicator who raises issues early
* Confident to challenge, question, and contribute to safer outcomes
