This role is focused on data-centre networking and firewall platforms. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating network and security infrastructure, including third-party connectivity.
Key responsibilities
Design, implement and support data-centre network infrastructure
Configure and support firewall platforms with a focus on Fortinet
Support Cisco network infrastructure including ACI
Manage and troubleshoot third-party connectivity and interconnects
Work with service providers, carriers and customers on network integration
Support change, incident and problem management activities
Required experience
Strong experience in data-centre networking
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers
Cisco networking experience, including ACI. Aruba switching
Experience supporting third-party connectivity (MPLS, WAN, interconnects, cross-connects)
Desirable
Experience working within a managed services or hosting environment
Exposure to multi-tenant or shared infrastructure models
