We are a non-invasive water leak detection company based in Windsor, Berkshire, servicing customers across London, the Home Counties and the South-East.
Due to our growth, we are looking to recruit a gas-safe qualified heating engineer to join us as a senior leak detection engineer based around the M25, ideally near Dartford, Epping or Redhill or the very local surrounding areas.
Previous experience of leak detection is not essential as full training will be provided; however, we do require the person to be a Gas Safe qualified heating engineer. If you are tired of lugging heavy cylinders around, this might be the career change for you!
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a leak detection engineer at Harmuns. The job involves using various leak detection equipment and techniques to locate and repair pipe leaks. Full training will be given so previous experience in leak detection is not essential, however you must be gas-safe qualified.
Initially the role will be on a full-time exclusive contractor basis. After a set period if you and the company mutually agree then you can join as a member of staff with further enhanced benefits including pension.
Job schedule: Monday – Friday 9am start. Occasional weekend work available if wanting to do additional hours
Geographical location
Ideally Dartford / Epping / Redhill (or nearby)
* You will be required to find hidden leaks using modern equipment such as thermal imaging, tracer-gas, moisture meters and acoustic listening devices.
* Draining down of central heating systems to expand gas into the heating system to find the leak.
* Undertake repairs to exposed areas.
* Compile a daily report, evidencing the process of leak detection including commentary and pictures.
Qualifications
* 5 years minimum experience as a heating engineer.
* Good time management
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
* Ability to work independently and remotely.
* Ability to work under pressure
* No specific IT skills required as training will be provided
* Van & full UK driving license and with all tools a typical Gas Safe engineer would carry
