Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance to join a dynamic and collaborative team.Key Responsibilities:
1. Regularly review the Aged Debt Report and ensure customers adhere to agreed trading terms.
2. Contact customers via phone or email to follow up on outstanding payments.
3. Work closely with the Finance Manager to take action on overdue accounts.
4. Identify and resolve internal system issues that may delay payments.
5. Liaise with the Sales Team to review and adjust customer credit limits.
6. Maintain and update the customer database accurately.
7. Prepare legal documentation for submission to solicitors and courts.
8. Provide account reconciliations and financial reports as required.
9. Process and reconcile credit card payments and bank transfers.
10. Support the Purchase Ledger team when needed.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
12. Strongmunication and negotiation skills.
13. A proactive, team-oriented approach with a lively personality.
14. High attention to detail andmitment to taskpletion.
15. Proficiency in Excel and SAP (desirable).
16. Literate, numerate, and professional in attitude.
17. Ability tomunicate effectively at all levels.
