Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you'll be a key member of the Finance Team, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the accounts function while contributing to accurate financial reporting. This role offers a strong balance of core transactional duties and exposure to management accounts within a stable, well‑structured responsibilities will include:
1. Managing accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciliations, and supplier payments
2. Daily treasury duties, posting and reconciling bank transactions
3. Preparing quarterly VAT returns
4. Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
5. Supporting the maintenance of accurate financial records and controls
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a detail‑oriented and organised finance professional who enjoys working as part of a team and taking ownership of key 'll also bring:
6. Part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience
7. Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
8. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
9. Strong communication and organisational skills
10. Experience using Sage Line 50 (desirable)
