The Organisation
Our client, a UK-based leader in NHS wheelchair services, is fast-growing and entrepreneurial with private equity backing. Specializing in outsourced healthcare services, they enhance the lives and mobility of customers for various NHS/ICB clients nationwide.
This exciting and entrepreneurial position involves leading the rapid expansion of the current business operations in the B2C area (private pay for patients who seek to fund their own equipment purchases).
Role and Responsibilities
This role has overall accountability for establishing a successful "private pay" business within the overall business.
* Developing a forward-looking strategy to elevate current sales into a substantial business with true value creation
* This includes developing a range of private pay value propositions around the principles of "creating user choice"
* Exploring partnerships in the wider rehab spaces
* Exploring the integration of digital/tech/online shopping propositions and innovating new methods to enhance tailored, in-home services for customers, whether utilizing the Personal Wheelchair Budget or not.
* Managing an existing team of approximately 8 individuals, with potential for expansion based on the right candidate, especially someone with a background at the Managing Director (MD) level; equity participation is also a possibility.
The Desired Applicant
Seeking an individual with a proven track record in building successful businesses, preferably in the B2C healthcare sector. You will probably have +10 years' experience in a commercial function in a relevant sector(s).
This experience could stem from roles in private hospitals, care homes, medical devices/equipment, pharma, or other relevant areas. Ideal candidates may have demonstrated the ability to establish new revenue streams within larger organizations, taking ownership of the business case and driving its success.
We need someone who inspires confidence and respect of peers, customers and partners.
