Support Worker Required Ref No 25700
To provide a flexible support service on a casual basis to a teenage girl with a brain injury, after school and at weekends. Our client enjoys activities that her support worker can join in with her, such as music, cinema, shopping and crafts. She also enjoys supporting others and spending time with her siblings and pets at home. She has a huge love of the character Stitch! Our client is generally a bubbly, chatty young lady who enjoys pamper sessions and likes her support worker to help her to straighten and style her hair or paint her nails.
The role will involve supporting our client to access activities, to maintain her safety away from home and ensure that she is enabled to enjoy social activities in the community on a regular basis.
The role will require support staff to be physically active and alert to any risk or dangers whilst working with our client.
Previous experience supporting children or young adults after brain injury or with additional learning needs would be preferred.
Previous experience of working in a care or educational setting is essential.
Applicants must have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle as it will be necessary to drive the client when going out in the community.
Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
