Central Employment is excited to be recruiting for a fantastic school based in the northeast that is looking for an Assistant Facility Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supervise designated employees daily by assigning work programs, monitoring performance, and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
* Operate plants, equipment, and vehicles according to established procedures to maintain school buildings and operations.
* Assist in maintaining school buildings, grounds, plants, fixtures, and equipment to high standards through maintenance, monitoring, and reporting.
* Ensure school premises are cleaned according to agreed specifications and report any deficiencies to the Facility Manager.
* Perform cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, monitoring, inspection, and testing as required by the Facility Manager.
* Execute snow clearance following the agreed gritting plan.
* Fulfil porterage duties as needed, including rearranging furniture and equipment.
* Open and secure the school building and grounds as necessary.
* Monitor the use of school facilities and equipment by pupils, staff, and community users to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
* Monitor environmental systems and report any deficiencies to the Facility Manager.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in supervising staff.
* Experience working within a school is desirable
* Experience in operating heating and ventilation plants.
* Knowledge of cleaning practices
* Knowledge of heating, ventilation and plumbing systems
* Full UK Driving license
* Willing to travel to academies across the trust and to flex working hours.
