Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s lives? Are you eager to support their educational journey and help them achieve their full potential?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of OCR A Level Design & Technology: Design Engineering to join our high-performing and supportive team, where success and innovation drive everything we do.
As a Teacher of D&T, your passion for the subject and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching will inspire our students to reach their full potential and take confident steps toward achieving their aspirations.
We are looking for an innovative and inspirational classroom practitioner who works collaboratively and can motivate students to engage with the subject and participate actively in lessons. As a committed and dedicated teacher, you will contribute to all aspects of the curriculum, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience.
To be successful in this role, you will:
1. Be passionate about your subject
2. Inspire students to develop confidence in their design skills
3. Demonstrate how design and technology can be applied in everyday life
4. Use technology, CAD, relevant IT and practical skills to bring the curriculum to life
5. Bring a ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ work ethic
6. Set high expectations and foster a culture of respect for others and the learning environment
In terms of personal attributes, we’re looking for a colleague who is creative, collaborative, and confident being hands-on in an often fast-paced environment. Above all, we value someone who is approachable, positive, and willing to support colleagues.
To apply for this opportunity, you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field. While experience delivering highly engaging and inspirational lessons would be beneficial, we also welcome applications from those ready to take their first steps into education — we are here to support your professional journey and help you thrive in this rewarding role.
This role may particularly suit teachers with experience in related subjects such as Physics, Engineering, or other closely aligned disciplines who are keen to apply their subject knowledge in a creative and applied context.
This role is expected to start in September 2026.
