About the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Help Neurodivergence and Disability Support Officer who is passionate about helping families navigate the often-complex landscape of disability and neurodivergence support.
In this role, you will:
* Act as a key contact for families, listening carefully to their experiences and helping them understand what support is available.
* Provide clear, accurate and personalised advice so families feel empowered, informed and able to make decisions that work for them.
* Actively support families to overcome barriers to accessing services, advocating when needed and building their confidence to engage with Early Help, Health, Education and specialist services.
* Strengthen professional pathways by working proactively with GP surgeries, increasing awareness of Early Help support and ensuring families are guided to the right place without delay.
* Work closely with partners to create a coordinated, seamless experience for families, ensuring their needs are understood and their voices heard.

What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for someone who:
* Shows genuine empathy, patience and a commitment to improving outcomes for families.
* Understand the challenges faced by children with disabilities and neurodivergent needs – and the impact on their families.
* Cam build trusting relationships and communicate sensitively with families who may feel overwhelmed or uncertain.
* Is confident in promoting Early Help support to a broad range of professionals, specifically GP practices.
* Can identify what support a family needs and guide them through next steps clearly and compassionately.
* Works well in a multi-agency setting and can contribute to a coordinated, holistic approach.
* Is resilient, organised and able to maintain accurate, timely records.
Experience of supporting families affected by disability, neurodivergence of additional needs is essential.
