Main Purpose of the Role:
To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, testing and certification on a variety of systems, while ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards. As an Approved Electrician, you may be expected to supervise junior electricians and ensure quality of workmanship on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems on domestic, commercial and/or industrial premises.
* Carry out
inspection and testing
(EIR, EICRs and Emergency Light Testing), carry out remedial works and produce certification in accordance with
BS th Edition)
.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Ensure all work complies with current I
EE Wiring Regulations, Health and Safety legislation, and company procedures
.
* Identify and rectify faults in electrical systems.
* Supervise, support and guide Electricians and Apprentices where necessary.
* Liaise professionally with site managers, clients, and other trades.
* Maintain accurate documentation, such as job sheets and test certificates.
* Maintain tools and equipment in a serviceable condition, ensuring test equipment is calibrated.
* Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a positive safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* NVQ Level 3
in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* AM2
(Achievement Measurement 2).
* City & Guilds 2391
or 2394/2395 (Testing and Inspection).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* Recognised
Approved Electrician
status (e.g. via JIB or equivalent scheme).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience in domestic, commercial and/or industrial installation and maintenance.

Other Requirements:
* Applicants must be willing to travel as required and stay overnight, sometimes for multiple nights a week, depending on project location and schedule.
