The Role Are you a Health & Safety professional who enjoys getting out of the office and meeting new people? We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Officer to play a vital role in our students futures. This isnt your typical "desk-bound" H&S role. You will be the face of the College for local employers, ensuring that every work placement we offer is safe, compliant, and high-quality. Youll be visiting a huge variety of workplacesfrom high-tech offices to industrial sitescarrying out risk assessments and building strong professional relationships. This is a flexible, ad hoc role offering work on an as-needed basis, ideal for those looking to fit work around other commitments. Your Mission: On the Road: Youll travel across the region to conduct H&S checks, ensuring our partner employers provide a safe and welcoming environment for our students. Building Relationships: Youll act as a consultant for employers, providing them with essential policies on Safeguarding and Prevent while securing great placements. Meticulous Management: Back at base (or working remotely), youll keep our CRM systems updated, ensuring every students placement is backed by perfect paperwork. Problem Solver: Youll be the first port of call if concerns arise during a placement, working quickly to resolve issues and maintain our high standards. What Youll Need to Bring as a Health & Safety Officer- Youre the perfect fit if you are methodical, observant, and great at talking to people at all levels. The Essentials: Qualifications: We would love you to have an NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) and a good standard of IT literacy. If you dont yet hold this qualification but are willing to complete it within your first week, were happy to support you. The Drive: A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential, as youll be visiting various sites. The Know-How: Solid knowledge of H&S law and Safeguarding, particularly concerning young people and T-Levels.
