Job Description
In this ambitious and challenging role, you will be responsible for managing a sales team and for achieving global sales and profit goals. Knowledge of cultural and legal variances within international sales cycles is a must. A clear team focus and a wide degree of (commercial) creativity and latitude is expected.
It is anticipated that, with proven competency and expertise, the right person will also take responsibility for overseeing the Account Management activities within the region.
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
1. Develop and execute regional sales strategies.
2. Focus on acquiring and developing new business within the region.
3. Translate strategy into measurable team and individual objectives (KPIs).
4. Collaborate with the team to raise awareness of the company in the region to acquire new clients and business. Key activities include the identification of new target markets, assessment of client needs and selection of suitable/potential clients.
5. Create awareness within the region for new and existing products and features. Identify and implement best practice approach for the region.
6. Accountable for the execution of our regional lead nurturing processes.
7. Partner with relevant stakeholders to define and execute the best strategy using appropriate and available resources within the region.
8. Develop cross-regional business relationships for Atradius Collections and Atradius Credit Insurance as the key commercial contact point within the region.
9. Act as the face of Atradius Collections externally within the region and build and maintain appropriate external relationships.
10. Responsible for regional cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
11. Responsible for the region’s business funnel and keeping the region’s team data updated.
12. Identify, stimulate and facilitate effective regional servicing of customers. Introduce and apply the best service approach across the region to effectively support customers across multiple locations within the region.
13. Take a lead role in negotiating terms of business across the region.
14. Accountable for the translation of customer feedback to appropriate and tangible actions to increase customer satisfaction across the region.
15. Take a key role in the region’s (Collections) leadership team, and build strong relationships with Regional Managers, Functional Managers, Peers, and Atradius Credit Insurance colleagues.
16. Responsible for the regional leadership of the commercial team, including field sales in the region.
17. Motivate and manage individuals to successful execution and delivery. Act as a role model and lead by example in performance, delivery and behaviour.
18. Take the lead in continuous improvement and identify areas for improvement, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
19. Work with appropriate stakeholders providing solutions and recommendations. Must have the drive to implement changes.
Requirements for the role:
* Experienced senior manager with a proven track record in an international business environment gained within a commercial position.
* Credit management, Collection industry and/or financial services experience is a plus.
* Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, lead and develop a commercial team. Must be willing to share knowledge and expertise. Must be able to manage different teams across different locations.
* Entrepreneurial, business-focused orientation, with the motivation for delivery.
* Able to develop and execute a sales strategy.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Fluency in English is essential.
* Good negotiation skills with the ability to implement decisions in an international (matrix) organisation.
* Bachelor or University degree or equivalent work experience.
* Willing to travel internationally.
* A true team player.
* Ideally located in Cardiff but not essential.

* We follow a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and two days from home. Our office is located in Cardiff Bay.
* Salary for this position is between £45,000 - £50,000 based on skills and experience and comes with a competitive bonus scheme.
